After an argument ends with Jane striking her husband, she leaves him, heading east from San Diego on a cross-country trip of self-discovery. Making for her brother's apple orchard in Massachusetts with her daughter in tow, Jane uses the time to dissect her troubled past. Not one to sit idly by, husband Oiver gives chase, realizing he'll have to interpret the world through his wife's eyes if he's going to find his family.
