A city divided. When the Berlin Wall goes up overnight, Karin Voigt is on the wrong side of the city. A West Berliner by birth, she is trapped on the other side of Germany, apart from her entire family including her twin sister, Jutta. Two sisters torn apart. Years pass, but with contact between the two women severed, Jutta knows she has to find a way to reach Karin--even as fellow Berliners lose their lives as they attempt to cross. And when she happens across a hidden opening, the identical twins discover they can swap places unnoticed. In a fractured world, will they find their way back to one another?
